Day 7 of 25 Celebrating my 25th Anniversary.

Since the beginning, Karin wanted me to be a cartoon character, but she found it easier to start off by making me the main character of the greeting cards she designed for friends and family. In her local church community, they always gathered after mass and often celebrated birthdays and other things, and always signed a greeting card as a group for that person. Karin soon became the go-to artist and was commissioned to make birthday cards, wedding congratulations, anniversaries, and get well soon cards for anyone recovering from illness or surgery. This is how she quickly accumulated dozens of card designs, most of which she still has archived. Today we’re sharing a few of the first designs so you know how it all began.
